CITY OF FOSTER CITY

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO AMEND A

CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Foster City intends to amend a conflict of interest code pursuant to Government Code Section 87300 and 87306. Pursuant to Government Code Section 87302, the code will designate employees who must disclose certain investments, income, interests in real property and business positions, and who must disqualify themselves from making or participating in the making of governmental decisions affecting those interests.

This year, eight amendments are recommended.

First, the Code has been amended to add the newly added Administrative Services Director position. The employee in the position of Administrative Services Director will be required to file yearly statements of economic interest using Categories 1, 2, and 3.

Second, the Code has been amended to add the newly added Financial Services Manager, Fleet Supervisor, Human Resources Manager, Housing Coordinator, and Parks Supervisor positions. The employees in these positions will be required to file yearly statements of economic interest using Categories 4 and 6.

Third, the Code has been amended to remove certain positions that are no longer used or filled in the organization. Those positions are Accounting Manager and Economic Development Manager.

All necessary updates have been made and are shown in bold and/or strikeout in the attached Appendix as required by the Fair Political Practices Commission.

Copies of the proposed code and all of the information upon which it is based may be obtained from the City of Foster City. Any inquiries concerning the proposed code should be directed to the City Clerk, (650) 286-3250; [email protected].
