A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE ESTERO MUNICIPAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR
PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE WATER MAIN CONDITION ASSESSMENT PROJECT (CIP 405-723), AUTHORIZING
THE INITIATION OF THE CONSULTANT SELECTION PROCESS FOR THE RFP, AND
FINDING THAT THE PROJECT IS EXEMPT PURSUANT TO THE CALIFORNIA
ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA)
ESTERO MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, EMID is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to provide professional engineering services for the Water Main Condition Assessment Project (CIP 405-723); and
WHEREAS, an RFP has been prepared for CIP 405-723; and
WHEREAS, CIP 405-723 consists of testing, reporting, and planning related to the District’s 24-inch water main to guide future improvements and repairs; and WHEREAS, funding in the amount of $250,000 has been approved in the FY 2024/2025 budget for CIP 405-723; and
WHEREAS, there is adequate funding available in the approved budget for CIP 405-723 to fund the water main condition assessment work; and WHEREAS, the project is categorically exempt under CEQA Sections 15301 – Existing Facilities pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act; and WHEREAS, with Board of Directors approval, staff will issue the RFP and initiate the consultant selection process.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Estero Municipal Improvement District does hereby:
1. Approve the attached RFP for professional engineering services for the Water Main Condition Assessment Project (CIP 405-723); and
2. Authorize the issuance of the Request for Proposal; and
3. Authorize the initiation of the consultant selection process. 2 6
