A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
AUTHORIZING THE OVERHIRE OF A PRINCIPAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST
POSITION
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, the Principal Management Analyst position in Public Works Department (PW) is anticipated to become vacant in May 2025; and
WHEREAS, this key position is responsible for development of the highly complex PW annual and long-term budgets, ensuring that Department staff are able to properly access funding for important purchases, managing the Solid Waste Program and assisting with special Department and Citywide projects; and
WHEREAS, the incumbent in the position has considerable knowledge and experience that will be difficult to transfer without cross training; and WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the cost of the overhire will total approximately $91,000 in FY 2024-2025 from the General Fund 001 (70%), the Water Enterprise Fund 401 (15%) and the Wastewater Enterprise Fund (15%), and that budgetary savings in these funds is anticipated to be sufficient for this expense.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Foster does hereby authorize the overhire of the Principal Management Analyst position for a period of four (4) months starting January 1, 2025
