A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A FIVE-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH ROUNDSTONE SOLUTIONS, INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $104,752 TO
PURCHASE COHESITY BACKUP SERVERS AND SERVICES
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, Data backup is a critically important component of Information Technology; and
WHEREAS, ransomware has been increasingly targeting backup systems; and WHEREAS, Cohesity will help recognize and mitigate ransomware incursions; and WHEREAS, an RFP was issued on 4/16/2024 and the lowest cost proposal was for Cohesity Backup from Roundstone Solutions; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the Information Technology Internal Services Fund (#504) to cover the purchase of said equipment and services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does hereby authorize the Mayor to execute a five-year agreement with Roundstone Solutions, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $104,752 to purchase Cohesity Backup Servers and services.
PASSED AND ADOPTED as a resolution of the City Council of the City of Foster City at the regular meeting held on the 2nd day of December, 2024, by the following vote:
