A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE ESTERO MUNICIPAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AUTHORIZING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION IN GENERAL FUND (FUND 001) FOR $154,000 AND APPROVING AN OVERHIRE FOR THE FINANCE DIRECTOR POSITION FROM JANUARY 2025 THROUGH END OF APRIL 2025
ESTERO MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the current Finance Director has been on leave of absence since March 2024; and
WHEREAS, existing staff have been compensated for taking on additional duties; and WHEREAS, the current Finance Director has decided to resign, and recruitment has begun to hire a replacement; and
WHEREAS, to ensure a smooth transition of the City’s financial functions to the future Finance Director, overhiring the position is an effective strategy for managing staffing transitions and institutional knowledge transfer; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the cost of the additional compensation paid to the existing staff and to overhire for the Finance Director position will total approximately $154,000 in FY 2024-2025, fully absorbed by General Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Estero Municipal Improvement District does hereby authorize the overhire of the Finance Director position from January 2025 through April 2025 and approve a supplemental appropriation of $154,000 for personnel cost in General Fund.
