A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR A WORKERS’
COMPENSATION THIRD-PARTY ADMINISTRATOR
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, the City’s current Workers’ Compensation administrator Cities Group was established in 1978; and
WHEREAS, after a year of evaluating administration of workers’ compensation claims for Foster City; and
WHEREAS, an independent third-party administrator will ensure Foster City claim administration is handled in partnership with Human Resources staff with a focus on efficient and cost effective processing; and
WHEREAS, the Request for Proposals has been prepared and is ready to be issued; and
WHEREAS, there is no cost for issuing a Request for Proposal; and WHEREAS, a contract for services will be brought to the City Council for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does hereby authorize the issuance a Request for Proposals for a Workers’ Compensation Third-Party Administrator.
PASSED AND ADOPTED as a resolution of the City Council of the City of Foster City at the regular meeting held on the 6th day of January, 2025, by the following vote:
