RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. FOUR (4) IN THE AMOUNT OF $40,000 WITH IT’S PERSONNEL CONSULTING INC. FOR
HUMAN RESOURCES CONSULTING SERVICES
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, on July 21, 2022, the City entered into a professional services agreement with It’s Personnel Consulting to provide Human Resources (HR) services in various functions including recruitment, classification/compensation, benefits administration, leave administration and other HR functions on an as needed basis up to a maximum Agreement amount of $20,000; and
WHEREAS, on May 22, 2023, Contract Amendment No. One (1) was approved by the City Manager to increase the contract based on recent vacancies that occurred in the HR Department for an additional $29,000 increasing the maximum Agreement amount to $49,000; and
WHEREAS, on August 21, 2023, Contract Amendment No. Two (2) was approved by the City Council to increase the contract by $101,000 to provide an Interim Human Resources Director while a recruitment on the position was completed increasing the maximum Agreement amount to $150,000; and
WHEREAS, on May 20, 2024 Contract Amendment No. Three (3) was approved by the City Council to increase the contract by $60,000 to provide additional HR services while a Human Resources Manager position is being recruited; and WHEREAS Contract Amendment No. Four (4) would increase the agreement amount to provide Risk Management and Workers Compensation consulting services.
With Contract Amendment No. Four (4), the revised total contract amount will be $250,000; and
WHEREAS, there is funding available in the approved Administrative Services budget and no additional appropriation is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does hereby authorize the Mayor to execute Contract Amendment No. Four (4) in the amount of $40,000 with It’s Personnel Consulting for Risk Management and Workers Compensation consulting services.
