I first started coming to 3rd Avenue in 1999 to teach myself how to kiteboard and I started teaching others in winter of 2009 in Miami and have since taught in 5 countries worldwide. I am International Kiteboarding Organization Level 2 Certified instructor and have taught over 2500 students with no accidents or injuries.

In 2010 | started managing the kite school at 3rd ave. for Helm of Sun Valley. I was given the opportunity to run the
school as if it was my own, taking care of all the day-to-day operations involved in a successful concession. I did this for five seasons until Helm of Sun Valley decided to go a different direction with summer sports (electric bikes). It was then that I took over the same position with Wind Over Water, again doing everything involved in running the concession for the next 4 years. In 2019l was finally able to open a school of my own, The Kite School, which is going fantastic! So for 14years now 1 been the ambassador of kiteboarding at 3rd ave./BayWinds Park. During this time I have conducted thousands of hours of lessons, never had an any accidents, performed hundreds of on the water rescues saving the Fire
Dept./Coast Guard untold man hours and resources by having the only Jetski onsite, I have always given assistance to anyone who looked in need, returned countless lost and found items to people, organized beach clean-ups and performed safety related site improvements and done safety clinics for new kiters, I regularly do maintenance at the park that nobody else will do such as raking the leaves or pulling weeds and removing dog poop from turf areas, pick up broken glass & trash left from the fishermen and night time party people, clean the slippery moss off the access ramps, provide sand bags for securing kites on beach, provide a shaded area over picnic table for the public and regulars to enjoy, interact with tourists and local residents curious about the sport, report suspicious activity to police, act as resident guardian to prevent accidents and stop unsafe activity whenever possible.... I could go on and on listing the things I do here everyday. I love my job owning and running The Kite School kiteboarding concession here in the park and look forward to continuing for many years to come. I love this community and want to make it a better, safer and more enjoyable place for everyone who visits BayWinds.

This park is a valuable and unique asset for not just Foster City but all the people who use it.

It is known world wide by kiting/windsurfing enthusiasts as the premier location in the SF Bay Area and many people travel here specifically to experience what we have to offer. Having the right operation onsite to best showcase our site and to represent Foster City is important. And in selecting the concession(s) for this bid proposal, it should be the one that meets the needs of both the city and the public best. One who can generate the most revenue for the city by providing safe professional kiteboarding lessons and services, with a proven safety record without incidents or accidents, performs site maintenance and improvements, has extensive experience and knowledge of the site and has strong ties to the community always making sure their safety and well being is a priority. The Kite School can and will meet these requirements and has the support of the people who believe the same.

I submit my bid of $500 per month fee, and included documents for all insurance and licenses to operate as required for this bid.

Thankyou for your time and consideration in this matter, and look forward to continuing to serve Foster City and Bay Winds Park in the future.
