A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
AUTHORIZING THE SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE OF REPLACEMENT POLICE
PORTABLE RADIOS FROM METRO MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $125,597.86
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, many of the existing portable radios were purchased in 2012 and have reached their useful life, are prone to hardware failures such as battery drain, static, and loss of signal, and are due for replacement; and
WHEREAS, mobile radios are essential equipment for police officers’ communication, response, and officer safety; and
WHEREAS, communication, compliance, and encryption standards have evolved around the county and state; and
WHEREAS, Metro Mobile Communications offers NASPO pricing under the City’s Municipal Code section 3.04.08 for the portable radios; and WHEREAS, Funding is available and has been appropriated in the FY 2024/2025 Equipment Replacement Fund (ERF) budget, Account No. 502-0110-413-4385.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does hereby authorize the sole source purchase of replacement police portable radios from Metro Mobile Communications in the amount of $125,597.86.
PASSED AND ADOPTED as a resolution of the City Council of the City of Foster City at the regular meeting held on the 4th day of August, 2025, by the following vote:
