A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
APPROVING THE CLOSURE OF CITY HALL AND THE COMMUNITY CENTER BETWEEN THE DATES OF DECEMBER 26, 2025 THROUGH JANUARY 2, 2026 AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CLOSE CITY HALL AND THE COMMUNITY
CENTER EACH YEAR GOING FORWARD FOR THE DAYS BETWEEN CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR’S
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, City Hall and the Community Center see reduced walk-in or call-in customers for utility payments and permit and plan check services between Christmas and New Year's; and
WHEREAS, employees coordinate leave usage to ensure customers can be assisted but not all employees can take leave during the holidays; and WHEREAS, other services and projects outside of City Hall can be scheduled around the holidays; and
WHEREAS, employees will be working unless they elect to use eligible leave.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Foster City approves the closure of City Hall and the Community Center from December 26, 2025 through January 2, 2026; and authorizes the City Manager to close City Hall and the Community Center each year going forward between the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
PASSED AND ADOPTED as a resolution of the City Council of the City of Foster City at the Regular Meeting held on the 6th day of October 2025, by the following vote:
