A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE MOSQUITO ABATEMENT SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN MATEO COUNTY MOSQUITO AND VECTOR CONTROL DISTRICT FOR FY 2025-2028 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $55,000

CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District (SMCMVCD) provides added services for Foster City’s unique storm drain system, which, due to topographic constraints, always contains standing water, in addition to the standard services provided to Foster City residents covered by their property tax; and WHEREAS, SMCMVCD’s added services provide needed preventative measures against mosquitoes and their associated diseases to the residents of Foster City; and WHEREAS, the cost to provide these services for FY 2025-2028 will be billed on a time, equipment and materials basis in an amount not to exceed $55,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does hereby authorize the Mayor to execute an agreement in a form approved by the City Attorney with the San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District (SMCMVCD) for FY 2025-2028 mosquito abatement services in an amount not to exceed $55,000 for all labor, equipment, and material costs annually.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement, with minor, non-substantive revisions that may be approved by the City Attorney, and to execute any other necessary documents to effectuate the terms of the Agreement.
