A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE ESTERO MUNICIPAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT ADDING THE NEW JOB DESCRIPTION OF PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTANT; AUTHORIZING THE UPGRADE OF AN EXISTING SENIOR ACCOUNTANT POSITION AND A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION OF $18,600 TO
FUND THE UPGRADE AND APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE AMENDED PAY PLAN FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026
ESTERO MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Estero Municipal Improvement District’s existing financial system, procured in 1992, is ending its useful life and is need of replacement; and WHEREAS, the system replacement will require significant input and effort from Finance staff to ensure the new system properly addresses the daily tasks and processes performed in the current system as well as the financial reporting needs of managers; and
WHEREAS, the duties and qualifications for the proposed Principal Accountant position properly reflect the needed level of expertise to support the financial system replacement project; and
WHEREAS, the current Senior Accountant is well qualified to fill the role of Principal Accountant after being with the Estero Municipal Improvement District for 17 years; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Estero Municipal Improvement District must approve the Pay Plan in order for the pay ranges to become effective.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Estero Municipal Improvement District does hereby:
1. Approve the new job description for a Principal Accountant;
2. Authorize the upgrade of an existing Senior Accountant position to Principal Accountant;
3. Authorize a supplemental appropriation of $18,600 for FY 2025-26 for the incremental cost of the positions upgrade; and
4. Approve and adopt the amended Pay Plan for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 effective November 3, 2025.
