A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH XYBIX SYSTEMS INC. TO PURCHASE FURNITURE AND INSTALLATION LABOR FOR THE DISPATCH CENTER REMODEL IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $105,083.68, AND APPROVING A 10% CONTINGENCY ($10,588.00) AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO SIGN AMENDMENTS TO THE AGREEMENT UP TO THE
CONTINGENCY AMOUNT
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, the City’s Dispatch Center was last remodeled in 2003; and WHEREAS, the desk furniture currently in use in the Dispatch Center was also purchased in 2003 and is now due for replacement; and
WHEREAS, staff identified vendors that specialize in dispatch center desks and solicited quotes; and
WHEREAS, Xybix submitted the lowest bid and was also the top choice among staff; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds were allocated in the budget for this project in the Equipment Replacement Fund (#502-0110-413-4385); and
WHEREAS, a contingency should be established, if additional expenses arise once long-installed systems are exposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does hereby authorize the Mayor to execute an agreement with Xybix Systems Inc. to purchase furniture and installation labor for the Dispatch Center remodel in an amount not to exceed $105,083.68, and approving a 10% contingency ($10,588.00) authorizing the City Manager to sign amendments to the agreement up to the contingency amount.
PASSED AND ADOPTED as a resolution of the City Council of the City of Foster City at the regular meeting held on the 3rd day of November, 2025, by the following vote:
