A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY APPROVING THE FOSTER CITY PARKS SYSTEM MASTER PLAN (CIP 301-682)
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, the Foster City Parks System Master Plan (PSMP) was developed to establish a clear vision and framework to guide City decision-makers in the development, rehabilitation, maintenance, and funding of Foster City’s parks over the next 10–20 years; and
WHEREAS, the Parks System Master Plan reflects a comprehensive, 18-month planning process grounded in extensive community engagement to define the long-term direction of the City’s parks and recreation system; and WHEREAS, the completed Parks System Master Plan represents a robust, comprehensive effort that will provide a consistent framework for future decision-making, capital investment planning, and applications for grant funding; and WHEREAS, adoption of the Plan will position the City to strengthen maintenance and sustainability practices, enhance recreational access and equity, and ensure that future park development reflects community values and long-term needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City hereby approves the Foster City Parks System Master Plan (CIP 301-682); and that the City Council authorizes City staff to use the Plan as the guiding document for future planning, development, and reinvestment in the City’s parks and recreation system.
PASSED AND ADOPTED as a resolution of the City Council of the City of Foster City at the regular meeting held on the 15th day of December 2025, by the following vote:
