A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
AUTHORIZING FULL COST OF PURCHASES FOR PUBLIC AND PARK SITE FURNITURE IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,046,772, WHICH INCLUDES A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE OF $67,508 FROM MMCITE, FOR THE FOSTER CITY COMMUNITY CENTER REBUILD PROJECT (CIP 301-678) AND APPROPRIATING $53,900 FROM THE EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUND (FUND 502) FOR CERAMIC KILNS
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, the Community Center Rebuild Project (CIP 301-678) requires the purchase of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) to support full and successful operation of the new facility upon opening; and
WHEREAS, staff recommend proceeding with the procurement of public and site furnishings at a total cost of $1,046,772, which includes a sole source purchase of $67,508 from Mmcité, to meet production and delivery timelines aligned with the timey opening of the new Community Center; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of these purchases is within the Project’s approved FF&E budget; and
WHEREAS, ceramics kilns essential to program operations are included in the Equipment Replacement Fund (Fund 502) but were not funded in the current fiscal year due to the prior closure of the Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, appropriating $53,900 from the Equipment Replacement Fund will allow the kilns to be purchased and installed in advance of the facility opening.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City hereby approves the purchase of public and park site furniture for the Community Center Rebuild Project (CIP 301-678) in the amount of $1,046,772, which includes a sole source purchase of $67,508 from Mmcité, and hereby authorizes appropriating $53,900 from the Equipment Replacement Fund (Fund 502) for the purchase of ceramics kilns. 4 1
