A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE ESTERO MUNICIPAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AUTHORIZING THE SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE OF FOUR (4) FLYGT PUMPS FROM SHAPE INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $243,820.94 FOR LIFT STATIONS NO.10 AND NO. 22 AND FINDING THE ACTION EXEMPT FROM THE
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA) UNDER CEQA GUIDELINES SECTION 15301(b) & 15301(d)
ESTERO MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, Lift Station No. 10 and No. 22 pumps have reached their useful life and are due for replacement; and
WHEREAS, replacement of aging pumps will allow Foster City/EMID to ensure continued operational reliability; and
WHEREAS, EMID’s entire wastewater system exclusively utilizes Flygt pumps for Wastewater conveyance; and
WHEREAS, Flygt pumps can only be ordered from Shape Inc., a sole distributor for the Northern California region, with offices located in Pleasanton and Stockton, California; and WHEREAS, funding is available and has been appropriated in the FY 2025-2026 Wastewater Equipment Replacement Fund Account No. 458-0110-413-4385.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Estero Municipal Improvement District does hereby authorize the sole source purchase of four (4) Flygt pumps from Shape Inc., in the amount of $243,820.94 from Wastewater Equipment Replacement Fund Account No. 458-0110-413-4385 and finds this action exempt from CEQA under Section 15301(b) & 15301(d) Existing Facilities.
PASSED AND ADOPTED as a resolution of the Board of Directors of the Estero Municipal Improvement District at the regular meeting held on the 20th day of January, 2026, by the following vote:
