A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
APPROVING THE FOSTER CITY COMMUNITY CENTER DONOR RECOGNITION
WALL DESIGN AND TIERED FUNDRAISING FRAMEWORK AND AUTHORIZING A $40,000 APPROPRIATION FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND (FUND 301) RESERVES TO THE COMMUNITY CENTER REBUILD PROJECT (CIP 301-678)
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, the City of Foster City is constructing a new Community Center to serve residents through expanded programs, events, and community gathering opportunities; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to recognize individuals, families, and businesses who support the Community Center through philanthropic contributions; and WHEREAS, staff have developed a Donor Recognition Wall design and tiered fundraising framework to formally acknowledge such contributions within the facility; and WHEREAS, fabrication and installation costs are estimated at approximately $35,000 to $40,000; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of up to $40,000 from the Capital Improvement Fund (Fund 301) reserves to the Community Center Rebuild Project (CIP 301-678) is necessary to authorize fabrication and installation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Foster City that the City Council hereby approves the Foster City Community Center Donor Recognition Wall design and tiered fundraising framework and authorizes an appropriation of up to $40,000 from the Capital Improvement Fund (Fund 301) reserves to the Community Center Rebuild Project (CIP 301-678) to support fabrication and installation of the Donor Recognition Wall.
