A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE ESTERO MUNICIPAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS,
AUTHORIZING THE CALL FOR BIDS FOR PHASE I OF THE EMERGENCY GENERATOR REPLACEMENT PROJECT (CIP 455-705); AND FINDING THE PROJECT EXEMPT FROM CEQA UNDER SECTION 15301(B) – EXISTING
FACILITIES
ESTERO MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, CIP 455-705 addresses the replacement of emergency generators and automatic transfer switch (ATS) equipment located at ten (10) of the District’s lift stations; and
WHEREAS, staff split the project into two phases to prioritize lift stations 22, 29, 59 into Phase I due to the long lead time for equipment; and WHEREAS, the generators and ATSs are essential equipment in providing uninterrupted power to the pumps in the lift stations in a case of a power outage; and WHEREAS, on August 15, 2022, the Board of Directors adopted Resolution No. 3672, awarding professional engineering services for CIP 455-705 to Freyer & Laureta, Inc. for the design, permitting and support; and
WHEREAS, on August 19, 2024, the Board of Directors adopted Resolution No. 3772 authorizing a vendor agreement with Bay City Electric Works for the purchase of three (3) generators, two (2) ATSs and associated equipment for LS 22, 29 and 59; and WHEREAS, ATS and the associated equipment have been delivered while the generators have been purchased and will be delivered at the start of construction; and WHEREAS, Plans and Specifications for Phase I of the Emergency Generator Replacement Project (CIP 455-705) are complete and ready for bid; and WHEREAS, this Project is categorically exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301(b) – Existing Facilities; and
WHEREAS, funding is available in the budget for CIP 455-705 Emergency Generator Replacement Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Estero Municipal Improvement District does hereby approve the plans and specifications and authorize the call for bids for Phase I of the Emergency Generator Replacement Project (CIP 455-705).
