A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE ESTERO MUNICIPAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT TO EXECUTE AN
AMENDMENT TO THE JOINT USE AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN MATEO-FOSTER CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT TO EXTEND THE TERM THROUGH JUNE 30, 2026
ESTERO MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Foster City/Estero Municipal Improvement District (“CITY/EMID”) and the San Mateo-Foster City School District (“SCHOOL DISTRICT”) entered into a Joint Use Agreement dated April 23, 2023, for the shared use of facilities, with a term from May 1, 2023 through April 30, 2026; and WHEREAS, the CITY/EMID and the SCHOOL DISTRICT desire to extend the current agreement for a limited period to allow time to update the agreement and align its term with both agencies’ fiscal years (July through June); and WHEREAS, the proposed amendment extends the term of the existing agreement by two (2) months, through June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, during this extension period, staff from both agencies will finalize revisions and return with a new multi-year Joint Use Agreement for consideration and approval; and
WHEREAS, City/District staff recommends adoption of the Joint Use Agreement Amendment for Joint Use Facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Estero Municipal Improvement District does hereby authorize the President to execute the Amendment to the Joint Use Agreement between the City of Foster City/Estero Municipal Improvement District and the San Mateo-Foster City School District, extending the term through June 30, 2026.
