A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ISSUE THE REQUEST FOR
CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE LAGOON
PUMP STATION SEISMIC REHABILITATION AND CAPACITY ENHANCEMENT PROJECT (CIP 301-717) AND FINDING THE PROJECT EXEMPT FROM CEQA UNDER SECTION 15301, 15302 AND 15311
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, the City of Foster City wishes to seek qualified contractors to construct the Lagoon Pump Station Seismic Rehabilitation and Capacity Enhancement Project (CIP 301-717); and
WHEREAS, the Project is currently in the construction document development phase and the final plans, specifications, and estimate are anticipated to be completed in Summer 2026; and
WHEREAS, the estimated bidding period is Fall 2026; and WHEREAS, the bidding phase can be streamlined by prequalifying contractors, which is a common practice for major and technically complex infrastructure projects; and WHEREAS, the prequalification process will ensure that bidding contractors have the capacity, financial soundness, and demonstrated expertise to execute the Lagoon Pump Station Seismic Rehabilitation and Capacity Enhancement Project (CIP 301-717).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does hereby approve the Request for Contractor Qualifications for the construction of the Lagoon Pump Station Seismic Rehabilitation and Capacity Enhancement Project (CIP 301-717) and authorize staff to issue the Request for Contractor Qualifications. 4 6
