A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY APPROVING THE AMENDED AND RESTATED CITY MANAGER STEFAN CHATWIN’S
EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, the City of Foster City and Stefan Chatwin entered into an Employment Agreement on June 21, 2022, which appointed Stefan Chatwin as the City Manager for the City of Foster City; and
WHEREAS, on June 20, 2023, the City Council adopted City Resolution No. 2023- 70, approving the First Amendment to City Manager’s Employment Agreement; and WHEREAS, on September 16, 2024, the City Council adopted City Resolution No. 2024-101, approving the Second Amendment to City Manager’s Employment Agreement; and
WHEREAS, on August 4, 2025, the City Council adopted City Resolution No. 2025-65, approving the Third Amendment to City Manager’s Employment Agreement; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Employment Agreement, the City Council is required to evaluate the City Manager’s performance annually; and WHEREAS, based on its review, the City Council has determined that the City Manager’s base compensation and benefit should be adjusted; and WHEREAS, the City Manager’s Employment Agreement requires that adjustments to compensation and benefit be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, the City Council and City Manager have negotiated an Amended and Restated City Manager Employment Agreement that requires approval by resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the Amended and Restated City Manager Employment Agreement is hereby approved and the Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
