NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Foster City will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. to hear and consider public input on the following:HEAR AND CONSIDER COMMENTS REGARDING THE FOSTER CITY DRAFT BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN MASTER PLAN (BPMP).The draft BPMP is a citywide effort to lay out the future of bicycling, walking, and rolling in Foster City. The draft BPMP consolidates the work completed throughout a 16-month planning process and is now ready for public review and feedback on the draft plan as a whole. This public hearing is being held in accordance with Public Resources Code § 21080.20, which states that CEQA does not apply to an active transportation plan, a pedestrian plan, or a bicycle transportation plan for the restriping of streets and highways, bicycle parking and storage, signal timing to improve street and highway intersection operations, and the related signage for bicycles, pedestrians, and vehicles. Before determining that a project is exempt pursuant to section 21080.20, the lead agency must hold noticed public hearings in areas affected by the project to hear and respond to public comments. The draft BPMP can be reviewed on the project website at: https://fp.mysocialpinpoint.com/foster-city-bicycle-and-pedestrian-master-plan.SAID PUBLIC HEARING will be held as a hybrid meeting in-person and by teleconference/video conference, subject to appropriate regulations.
