COUNCIL MEMBER ITEMS FOR FUTURE CONSIDERATION
Mayor Pro Tem Constantine noted that the Fountain Valley Crossings Specific Plan allows the Planning Director to have the final say on development projects for that area, Fountain Valley Crossings and proposed that City Council have a say about the development of this area. No second.
Mayor Pro Tem Constantine proposed Public Noticing for development projects above 4-stories and above 60 feet be addressed with postcard (notice) sent out to the whole City. Council Member Glenn Grandis second.
Mayor Pro Tem Constantine noted that currently, a violation of temporary non-commercial speech signs (also known as campaign signs) go to a commercial property owner and requested a second to get this changed in the absolute best interest of this community and instead have the City go directly to the appropriate candidate to issue a warning, $100 fine, $200 fine, then subsequent $500 fine for each sign in violation of the ordinance. No second Mayor Pro Tem Constantine proposed tighten up our ordinance on Temporary non-commercial speech signs (also known as campaign signs) and to address nonresidential zones in which we currently allow 1 temporary non-commercial speech sign per 100 feet of arterial street frontage in nonresidential zones. No second.
