January 22 Participated in the 2023 Tet Festival Parade in Westminster, then stopped in at the historical Society Luncheon at the Historical Society, and later participated with several elected in welcoming attendees to the 2023 Tet Festival for the Grand Opening Ceremony at Mile Square Park.
January 23 Filmed the Fountain Valley Friends of the Library segment for my upcoming Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce State of Union at the Friends of the Library Bookstore at the Fountain Valley Library, then attended the Friends of Library Volunteer Meeting. Later, filmed about organic waste recycling, etc. at Republic Services in Huntington Beach.
January 24 Watched the OC Board of Supervisors Meeting on the County's website, attended the Lunar New Year Luncheon at the FV Senior Center, then attended the Annual Green Valley Town Hall in the Green Valley Adult Club House.
January 26 Attended the FV Chamber of Commerce FV Connect Breakfast at the Ayres Hotel. John Borack spoke about the upcoming universally accessible playground at Mile Square Park, later attended an Economic Development Meeting at City Hall.
January 28 Attended the Vietnamese History and Culture Appreciation Day (A Lunar New Year Festival) at the FV Recreation Center. This event was the project of a local Girl Scout.
January 29 Attended the 4-year Anniversary of Grocery Outlet.
January 31 Filmed for my upcoming Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce State of Union. Today's filming involved congregate meals at the FV Senior Center, traveled with City Manager to the Sheraton Universal in Universal City for the 3-day California League of Cities New Mayors and Council Members Academy.
February 1-3 Attended the 3-day California League of Cities New Mayors and Council Members Academy at the Sheraton Universal in Universal City. I attended all breakfasts, workshops, and luncheons.
February 4 Attended the 7 Leaves Café Grand Opening on Harbor and Edinger and presented a certificate from the City.
February 6 Volunteered at the Friends of the Library Bookstore, at the Fountain Valley Library, pulling and packing books for the next book sale.
February 7 Attended the FV Rotary Meeting at the FV Senior Center. The speaker was a palmist, then watched the OC Board of Supervisors Meeting on the County's website.
