CITY MANAGER / MAYOR UPDATES
City Manager Maggie Le informed the Council the Pony Baseball Opening Day is February 25th, the State of the City is March 1st, and a Community Garden Meeting on March 1st at Heritage Park, Fountain Valley Little League Opening Day on March 4* and Congress Woman Michelle Steel will have Mobile office hours on Tuesday march 7t from 8:30 am to 6:00 p.m. at The Senior Center Mayor Kim Constantine read a statement about the City Manager of Laguna Beach and condemned the action against a public servant.

February 7 I participated in the Finance Ad Hoc Committee Meeting at City Hall later it was my pleasure to swear in FVFD Bill McQuaid as our new Fire Chief in our Council Chambers.
February 8 I watched the Planning Commission Meeting on the City's website.
February 9 Attended the FV Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee Meeting (GAC) at Sonesta Suites, then attended the FV Friends of the Fountain Valley Library Board Meeting, attended a Tour of the Boys and Girls Club by City Hall, then participated in the City Selection Committee Meeting (CSC) at City of Orange Council Chambers.
February 10 I stopped in at the "Ticket to Paradise" Movie at the FV Senior Center, then participated in the Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities Valentine's Dance at the same location.
February 11 I welcomed the audience to the 2023 Miss Fountain Valley Scholarship Competition at Goldenwest College and Topanga Scherf is our new Miss Fountain Valley! February 13 I participated in our employee "Free the Files" Day at City Hall (file purging), then an In n Out Lunch via their food truck at the Recreation Center.
February 14 Attended Rotary's "Every Student Succeeding" Breakfast at the FV School District, then the Valentine's Day Luncheon for senior citizens at the FV Senior Center.
February 15 I participated in the PCTA Meeting on Zoom and am now the Vice Chair, then participated in Arbor Day filming at Veterans Park for my FV Chamber of Commerce State of the City Luncheon on March 1st. That evening my fellow City Council Members and I interviewed 24 applicants for our City Commissions, Committees, and Boards.
February 16 Attended the "Mass Shooting & Critical Incident Preparedness Training" at the Tustin Sheriffs Training Facility, participated in the OC Mosquito and Vector Control Open House at their offices in Garden Grove, then stayed to participate in the monthly Board Meeting at the same location. Later, I participated in the Joint Special Meeting of the FV City Council and Measure HH Advisory oversight Committee Meeting at the FV Recreation Center, then participated in the FV Community Foundation Board Meeting at the FV Senior Center.
February 21 Attended the Rotary's Most Improved Student breakfast meeting at the FV Senior Center.
