RESOLUTION NO. 2021-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FREMONT AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO
EXECUTE THE FY 2021/22 CONTRACT AMENDMENT WITH THE
CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF AGING (MS 2122-37) TO PROVIDE
SERVICES UNDER THE M ULTI-PURPOSE SENIOR SERVICES
PROGRAM (MSSP)
WHEREAS, the Multipurpose Senior Services Program (MSSP) is a State of California Department of Aging program that provides funding to enable frail, Medi-Cal eligible seniors aged 65 and over to remain safely at home rather than enter nursing homes; and WHEREAS, the City of Fremont has been under contract with the California Department on Aging to administer and provide MSSP services in Southern Alameda County since February, 2001.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOVLED by the City Council of the City of Fremont that the City Manager or designee is authorized to execute Contract Amendment #MS-2122-37 with the California Department on Aging to administer and provide MSSP services for Fiscal year 2021/22 in the amount of $404,383.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the State of California Department of Aging.
