Executive Summary: The purpose of this item is to request City Council certification of the results of the November 8, 2022 General Municipal Election.
BACKGROUND: The City Council passed Resolution No. 2022-14 on May 3, 2022, requesting that the County of Alameda Registrar of Voters conduct the General Municipal Election of November 8, 2022 for the purpose of electing three City Councilmembers.
A District No. 2 Councilmember, a District No. 3 Councilmember, and a District No. 4 Councilmember of the City Council for the full terms of four years.
The results have been canvassed and were certified by the Alameda County Registrar of Voters on December 8, 2022 and presented to the City.
Official Certified Election Results: Based upon the Certification of Election results, the following persons have been elected to serve for the next four-year terms:
City Council District 2, Desrie Campbell
City Council District 3, Jenny Kassan
City Council District 4, Yang Shao
FISCAL IMPACT: None.

RECOMMENDATION: Adopt a resolution that:
1. Receives the Official Canvass of the General Municipal Election held on November 8, 2022 from the Alameda County Registrar of Voters.
2. Declares the results of the election.
