RESOLUTION NO. 2023-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FREMONT APPROVING AND ADOPTING SALARY SCHEDULES
FOR CITY EMPLOYEES IN ACCOR DANCE WITH CALPERS
GUIDELINES
WHEREAS, the City Manager is authorized to set, approve and amend employee salary ranges as part of a citywide Salary Schedule pursuant to Fremont Municipal Code Section
2.25.210; and
WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 20636 and California Title 2 of the Code of Regulations, Section 570.5 require that salary schedules be publicly available and be approved and adopted by the City Council at a public meeting to ensure proper reporting to CalPERS for retirement benefit purposes; and
WHEREAS, per the requirements of California Government Code Section 20636 and Title 2 of the Code of Regulations,Section 570.5, the City’s salary schedule is posted currently available on the City’s publicly accessible website and is available to the public; and
WHEREAS, City administrative and personnel-related actions, and general policy and procedure making are not a “project” under CEQA, and the City Council finds that this action is not a “project” per CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(2).
annual adoption and approval of the City’s salary schedule in compliance with Government Code Section 20636 and California Code of Regulations Section 570.5 will ensure proper reporting to CalPERS for retirement benefit purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FREMONT RESOLVES that the Salary Schedule attached hereto as Exhibit A is approved and adopted.
