A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FREMONT AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE TO UPDATE
VARIOUS PUBLIC WORKS – ENGINEERING FEES TO REFLECT
CURRENT COST OF SERVICES
WHEREAS, on March 1, 1994, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 8672 establishing the City's Master Fee Schedule, which sets forth fees, rates and charges for goods and services provided by the City of Fremont; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 8672 has been amended from time to time to adjust and add new fees, rates and charges for goods and services provided by the City; and
WHEREAS, the proposed adjustments to the Engineering Fees section are necessary to update the fees to reflect cost increases of providing Public Works Department services and come closer to obtaining full cost recovery for the Public Works Department services provided; and
WHEREAS, on December 12, 2023, the City Council held a duly-noticed public hearing where all members of the public had the opportunity to be heard, and the City Council considered the information set forth in the staff report and information submitted to the City Council during the public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FREMONT RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council approves the recommended changes to the Public Works Engineering Fees , effective on February 10, 2024, which shall be administered in accordance with the Master Fee Schedule .
SECTION 2. The Master Fee Schedule , adopted by Resolution No. 8672 (as amended from time to time ), Article Vl , Section A, entitled " Engineering" is amended to reflect the new fees , as shown in Exhibit “A” to this Resolution .
SECTION 3. This Resolution becomes effective on February 10, 2024 and shall supersede all previous resolutions in conflict herewith. All conflicting resolutions (or portions thereof) shall be deemed repealed without further action by the City Council.
