RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FREMONT
AMENDING SECTION II (PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT) AND
SECTION VII.C (BUILDING AND SAFETY) OF THE MASTER FEE
SCHEDULE TO ADJUST PLANNING AND BUILDING USER FEES,
RELOCATING SECTION V I.A (ENGINEERING) AND SECTION VI.B (PARKS) AND RENAMING SECTION VII (PUBLIC WORKS)
WHEREAS, on March 1, 1994 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 8672, as amended from time to time, establishing the City’s Master Fee Schedule, fixing and establishing fees, rates and charges for goods and services provided by the City of Fremont; and WHEREAS, the proposed adjustments to Planning and Development and Building and Safety Fees sections are necessary to update the fees to reflect the cost increases of providing the services, remove fees that are no longer necessary, and to add new fees created by new services and state law changes; and
WHEREAS, the proposed adjustments to appeal fees in the Planning and Development, Engineering and Building and Safety Fees sections are necessary to clarify and update the fees to recover the cost of the appeal and include new appeals processes required by new state law; and WHEREAS, on May 7, 2024, the City Council held a duly-noticed public hearing where members of the public had the opportunity to be heard, and the City Council considered the information set forth in the staff report and information submitted to the City Council during the public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FREMONT RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section II, Planning and Development, of the Master Fee Schedule is hereby renamed Development – Planning, Engineering, and Building & Safety, and fees are amended as shown in Exhibit 1. Fees not identified in Exhibit 1 are not affected by this action.
SECTION 2. Section VI, Public Works, is hereby renamed Maintenance Operations.
SECTION 3. Section VI.A, Engineering, and Section VI.B, Parks, are relocated to new Section II, Development – Planning, Engineering, and Building & Safety.
SECTION 4. Section VII, C., Building & Safety, of the Master Fee Schedule is relocated to new Section II, Development – Planning, Engineering, and Building & Safety, and fees are amended as shown in Exhibit 1. Fees not identified in Exhibit 1 are not affected by this action.
SECTION 5. None of the fees identified in Exhibit 1 exceed the cost to the City of Fremont to provide the service associated with the fee.

SECTION 6. The Master Fee Schedule (as adopted by Resolution No. 8672, and as amended thereafter) is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
