Why do you wish to serve as a member of this Board or Commission:
I’d like to contribute to the overall development of Fremont which I’ve called home since 2018.
As a member of the Economic Development Advisory Commission (EDAC), software/technology startups in Fremont will find their voice in me. I’d like to advocate their contributions while proposing & supporting ideas that catalyze their growth in the city. While learning about the development plans, I’d like to enhance their impact by drawing upon my global experiences. I’d also like to support the growth of local businesses by sharing my deep expertise in software/technology.
What would you bring by way of perspective or experience to this Board or Commission:
I’ll bring the ‘startup’ perspective to EDAC. This perspective has evolved over past 15 years of running my own startup while helping others along the way. Following is what I get to the table:
• ~30 years of experience in multi-nationals, mid-size companies & startups • Domain knowledge of Manufacturing, Telecom/Data Centers, Software/SaaS, Hardware, Entertainment, Education, and IT/Risk Advisory • Cultural sensitivity honed by doing business in India, Middle East, UK, Europe, Japan, and the USA
• Deep expertise in Business Development, Marketing, Risk, Program & Product Management.
