Background Information:

Why do you wish to serve as a member of this Board or Commission: ____________________

I am enjoying my volunteer work with Fremont Friends of the Library. I love helping to recycle books in our community. As a retired teacher, I know the importance of reading and the positive benefits it provides not only to individuals but families and communities. One reason we love living in Fremont is its wonderful library and
branches.____________________________________________________________________ ________

What would you bring by way of perspective or experience to this Board or Commission:

_For the last thirty years, I have spent a great deal of time working with immigrants as well as international students. I am very comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Fremont’s library showcases the beautiful diversity of peoples who live, work and study in Fremont and the surrounding areas. I believe that this experience can be of help to me if I am asked to be a member of this commission.
