RESOLUTION NO. 2025-xx
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FREMONT
AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE REGARDING FEES FOR
FACILITY RENTALS
WHEREAS, on March 1, 1994, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 8672 establishing the City’s Master Fee Schedule, which sets forth fees, rates and charges for goods and services provided by the City of Fremont; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 8672 has been amended from time to time to adjust and add new fees, rates and charges for goods and services provided by the City; and
WHEREAS, the City’s Master Fee Schedule sets forth fees charged by the City’s Human Services Department for facility rentals at the Age Well Centers; and
WHEREAS, a common area at Age Well Center at Lake Elizabeth was converted into a rentable public space, and it is necessary to add the fees for renting this facility; and
WHEREAS, Age Well Center facility fees were last updated in November 2021 via Resolution No. 2021-72, and it is necessary to update the fees to reflect the costs associated with providing quality services and amenities at both the Age Well Center at Lake Elizabeth and the Age Well Center at South Fremont; and
WHEREAS, adopting an annual CPI-U adjustment process will ensure that facility rental rates remain fair, predictable, and responsive to economic conditions, while preventing the need for infrequent but substantial fee increases; and
NOW, THEREFORE, based on information set forth in the staff report to the City Council dated May 20, 2025, as well as any other information submitted to or considered by the City Council during its deliberations on this matter, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FREMONT RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The following sections of Article V, of the Master Fee Schedule (Resolution No. 8672, as amended), entitled “Human Services”, are amended and replaced to read in their entireties as set forth in Exhibit A, attached to and made a part of this Resolution:
A. Section V, Human Services, B. entitled, “Age Well Center Fees”, #2 Facility Rental Schedule.

SECTION 2. The Master Fee Schedule (adopted by Resolution No. 8672 and amended from time to time, including by this Resolution) shall be kept on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
SECTION 3. This Resolution and the amendments to the Master Fee Schedule adopted thereby shall become effective immediately upon adoption by the City Council.
