Executive Summary: The purpose of this report is to facilitate the installation of a new walk-in refrigerator at the Age Well Center at South Fremont to support demand for serving meals.
BACKGROUND: The Age Well Center at South Fremont (AWCSF), located at 47111 Mission Falls Court, opened its doors on September 15, 2021. This community-focused senior center offers a variety of activities and services including daily exercise classes, health checkups, educational classes, international trips, and meals for seniors. There are two free-standing refrigerators that currently serve the kitchen; however, these do not have enough capacity to store the refrigerated goods needed to provide seniors with three meals a day almost every week. The new walk-in refrigerator will allow the AWCSF to better meet the meal demands without requiring frequent shopping trips to restock refrigerated ingredients.
