Executive Summary: This study session is being conducted to facilitate the City Council’s review of best practices used by other California cities to successfully enhance their local funding/revenue measure options. Alameda County-based and long-time city consultants Catherine Lew, Co-Founder of the Lew Edwards Group, and Curtis Below, Partner of FM3 Research, will lead the City Council in a discussion and will provide the Council with opportunities to ask questions and seek advice regarding the successful revenue sustainability planning other cities have taken, and the approaches and steps that may be effective for the City of Fremont.
RECOMMENDATION: Receive the presentation and conduct a study session related to revenue measures.
