Background Information:

Why do you wish to serve as a member of this Board or Commission:

A passion for local history plus an eye for photography landed me a project for the Washington Township Museum of Local History. The Then and Now project took me to several buildings anc sites of historic significance in our Tri-City Area. This project led me to research the path of approval for several redevelopment projects. I was struck by the fascinating and important consideration that must be part of each development decision. Additionally, I believe the City of Fremont has a responsibility to continue to help preserve our cultural history. I'd like to share in that responsibility.

What would you bring by way of perspective or experience to this Board or Commission:

As a lifelong resident of Fremont, I have seen many changes in the physical and cultural landscape of our city. While I respect some of these changes may be necessary, I also recognize the need to balance economic development and housing requirements with the preservation of our local history.

Raised in a turn-of-the century home in Mission San Jose, I have a deep affection for historic homes and landscape, frequently visiting the Shinn House, Patterson House and California Nursery in Niles. This appreciation has also taken me to Filoli House and Gardens, where I was a member for multiple years.

In any task I take on, where I lack in direct experience, I make up for in commitment, enthusiasm, and integrity. My previous HARB experience would benefit a future term. I contribute to my community in small ways that I believe have added up over the years.
