RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FREMONT
APPROVING A MEMORANDUM, OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
THE CITY OF FREMONT AND FREMONT POLICE ASSOCIATION
(FPA) FOR A TERM, EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2026 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2029.
WHEREAS, the Fremont Police Association (“FPA”) and the City of Fremont (“City”) have expressed a desire to continue their bargaining relationship as governed by the California Government Code Section 3500, et seq.; and
WHEREAS the parties have met and conferred in good faith in accordance with California Government Code Section 3500, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, such meetings have resulted in an agreement of a successor Memorandum of Understanding for the period of July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FREMONT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . The City Council approves the tentative agreement reached with FPA for a successor MOU, the terms set forth in the staff report dated June 2, 2026, and incorporated herein by this reference.
SECTION 2. The City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute a successor MOU with FPA effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029, and to implement the successor MOU.
