RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FREMONT APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF FREMONT
AND CITY OF THE FREMONT EMPLOYEE
ASSOCIATION (CFEA) FOR A TERM EFFECTIVE JULY
1, 2026, THROUGH JUNE 30, 2029.
WHEREAS, the City of Fremont Employee Association (“CFEA”) and the City of Fremont (“City”) have expressed a desire to continue their bargaining relationship as governed by the California Government Code Section 3500, et seq.; and
WHEREAS the parties ha ve met and conferred in good faith in accordance with California Government Code Section 3500, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, such meetings have resulted in an tentative agreement for a successor Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) for the period of July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fremont as follows:
SECTION 1 . The City Council approves the tentative agreement reached with CFEA for a successor MOU, the terms of which are set forth in the staff re port dated July 7, 2026, and incorporated herein by this reference.
SECTION 2. The City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute a successor MOU with CFEA, effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029, and to implement the successor MOU .
