RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FREMONT APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF FREMONT
AND THE OPERATING ENGINEERS, LOCAL UNION NO.
3 (OE3) FOR A TERM , EFFECTIVE JULY 1 , 2026,
THROUGH JUNE 30, 2029.
WHEREAS, the Operating Engineers, Local Union No. 3 (“OE3”) and the City of Fremont (“City”) have expressed a desire to continue their bargaining relationship as governed by the California Government Code Section 3500, et seq.; and
WHEREAS the parties have met and conferred in good faith in accordance with California Government Code Section 3500, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, such meetings have resulted in a tentative agreement for a successor MOU for the period of July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fremont as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council approves the tentative agreement reached with OE3 for a successor MOU, the terms set forth in the staff report dated July 7, 2026, and incorporated herein by this reference.
SECTION 2 . The City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute a successor MOU with OE3, effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029, and to implement the Memorandum of Understanding.
