RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FREMONT AMENDING THE CITY ’S CONFLICT OF INTEREST
CODE FOR DESIGNATED EMPLOYEES, CONSULTANTS AND
COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF FREMONT
WHEREAS, provisions of the Political Reform Act, Government Code Section 87300, et seq., require local government agencies to adopt and promulgate conflict of interest codes; and
WHEREAS, the Fair Political Practices Commission has adopted a regulation, Title 2, California Code of Regulations Section 18730, which contains the terms of a model conflict of interest code that meets the requirements of the Political Reform Act; and
WHEREAS, Title 2, California Code of Regulations Section 18730 has been incorporated by reference into the City’s Conflict of Interest Code; and
WHEREAS, the City’s Conflict of Interest Code also includes appendices of designated positions and disclosure categories, which are updated from time to time; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined to amend said appendices of designated positions and disclosure categories to reflect current conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FREMONT RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 18730 of Title 2 of the California Code of Regulations duly adopted by the Fair Political Practices Commission, as amended from time to time, and the appendices in Attachments 1 and 2, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in which the positions of employees, consultants, and commissioners are designated and disclosure categories are set forth, shall constitute the Conflict of Interest Code of the City of Fremont.
SECTION 2. All designated employees, consultants, and commissioners of the City of Fremont set forth on the attached appendix of designated positions shall file annual statements of economic interest with the City Clerk of the City of Fremont.
