A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, DIRECTING THE
ADMINISTRATION TO PURSUE FUNDING TO COMPLETE
THE VETERAN’S BOULEVARD PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Veteran’s Boulevard Project (the Project) is an important road construction project in the City of Fresno, will provide crucial connectivity in west Fresno, and is especially impactful to the residents of Council District 2; and WHEREAS, Veteran’s Boul evard between Herndon and Shaw Avenues is fully funded and currently under construction; and
WHEREAS, the segment of Veteran’s Boulevard between Shaw and Grantland Avenues remains unfunded; and
WHEREAS, it shall be the policy of the City of Fresno to complete the Project, so that identifying and obtaining funding to complete the Project is of the utmost importance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fresno as follows:
1. The Council hereby directs the Administration to explore and pursue all available funding options to complete the Veteran’s Boulevard Project.
