Justin Garza Traditional Competition Cheer
“Universal Cheerleaders Association National
High School Cheerleading Championship”
WHEREAS, On February 13, 2022, the Justin Garza Traditional Competition Cheer Team earned their first Universal Cheerleaders Association National High School Cheerleading Championship title. The Guardians competed at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Walt Disney World- Orlando, FL, with over 1,500 teams from across the country, and more than 25,000 spectators watching the competition.
WHEREAS, Head coach Britney Audino and coaching staff led this team through 2021-2022 with an undefeated record. The Guardians earned the opportunity to participate in their first competit ive program on a national level, the only cheer event sanctioned by the National Federation of State High School Association s and the California Interscholastic Federation.
WHEREAS, The City of Fresno recognizes this accomplishment by Justin Garza’s Traditional Competition Cheer Team and is proud to be represented in the athletic community throughout the nation.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Fresno Mayor and City Council congratulates Justin Garza’s Traditional Competition Cheer Team on this historic win and hereby proclaim March 10th to be:
“Justin Garza Traditional Competition Cheer Team Day”
in the City of Fresno
