A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING THE TERMINATION
OF THE LOCAL EMERGENCY RELATED TO COVID-19
WHEREAS, on March 16, 2020, Mayor Lee Brand proclaimed a local emergency in the City of Fresno due to the rising threat of the COVID-19 virus; and WHEREAS, for two years, the City has battled the effects COVID -19 has had on its residents and businesses; and
WHEREAS, the spread of COVID -19 has rapidly decreased, to the point it no longer presents an imminent threat to public health and safety; and WHEREAS, the Mayor proclaimed the termination of the local emergency on ____, 2022; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Fresno Municipal Code Section 5-203, the Council hereby confirms the termination of the local emergency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fresno as follows:
1. The Council hereby confirms the Mayor’s ___, 2022, Proclamation of Termination of Local Emergency Related to COVID-19.
2. This resolution shall be effective upon final approval.
