Olive Ave; Negotiating Parties: City Manager, Lawrence Abbate; Under Negotiation: Terms and Conditions of Property Acquisition. eComment: Buy out not Bail out. The boycotts and protests will continue if Laurence Abbate is allowed to stay on and benefit from a city takeover, even if Adventure Church is out of the picture. The last boycott I attended, Abbate was bragging about how the city plans to come in and make more parking and expand a second level of the theatre for him...all while intentionally being embroiled with AC in a lawsuit against him in hopes the judge will order him to sell to the church. Do not trust this man or his word. He burned council reps in 2021 after talks and he'll do it again.

eComment: Everyone deserves affordable housing. I have watched and seen first hand what large mobile home park owners will do in their base lease prices rental prices and yet still do not take care of the needs of the residents. They should be given the opportunity to try and purchase the mobile home park themselves if at all feasible and not rush the process.

eComment: Hello City Council, I support Trails End residents in transitioning to a resident owned community. We have an opportunity to create a first of its kind community and this council has an opportunity to demonstrate that they are not in the pockets of developers but on the side of people living in our community. They have survived inspite of hardship and as the people who actually live there, they deserve an opportunity to direct the next stage of their own community.
The families and youth of Trails End have shared their concerns for their community. They have my support and I urge you to give yours. Thank you, Lourin Hubbard View and Analyze eComments

I write in to STRONGLY urge the City Council and the Mayor Dyer administration to do everything they can to do to oppose the sale of Trails End Mobile Home Park to incredibly ironically named Harmony Communities.
The residents there are obviously, literally fighting for their lives.
If the sale goes through, we know what will happen. Many of those in the park will be forced out of their homes over the next week’s and months, WITH NO WHERE TO GO. They’re
already in the least expensive living arrangement that’s possible to keep a roof over their heads. For many of the residents, this means that existing medical conditions will be extraordinarily exacerbated.
This is an EXTREMELY vulnerable population, as you all well know. If we can’t, as a city, find a tiny shred of humanity and take some time to explore the creative options to keep these people in their homes, that does nothing but confirm what many people think about municipalities everywhere. Decisions are about nothing but corporate/investment interests and have NOTHING to do with the health and safety of our residents.
THAT’S what allowing this sale to Harmony says. These humble lives don’t matter, corporate profits matter. At least they matter more.
Some of you on the council seem to have a heart. Show it, and use every lever of power at your disposal to keep those people in their homes.
Thank You,
Lance Kruse
