I am a lifelong Southwest Fresno resident (50+yrs) who lives in the area of Jensen and Elm Avenue. The rezoning to light Industrial use has a huge negative impact on our health, economic growth and our overall well-being as a community. I can already hear the noise and trucks, and the unhealthy fumes that come from Elm Avenue recycling center and that's just one of many. I am totally against rezoning to ANY industrial use especially after all the months of planning and approval of the Southwest Fresno Specific Plan. Elm Avenue should resemble thriving businesses, just like Blackstone.
Stop using Southwest Fresno as the go-to place for industry use companies. There are other places that you can choose other than our backyards.
