A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A ONE- YEAR
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF FRESNO (CITY)
AND FMAAA IN THE AMOUNT OF $124,000 FOR THE
SENIOR HOT MEALS PROGRAM AT SIX COMMUNITY
CENTERS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR
DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT AND ALL
RELATED DOCUMENTS WITH FMAAA
WHEREAS, the Fresno-Madera Area Agency on Aging provides funding to provide congregate meals and social/health engagement activities; and WHEREAS, the PARCS Department has partnered with FMAAA since 1994 as a nutrition site management operator; and
WHEREAS, the PARCS Department would like to continue to provide meals for seniors at six community centers throughout Fresno; and WHEREAS, the City of Fresno desires to enter into an agreement with the Fresno- Madera Area Agency on Aging to receive funding to partially offset the cost of senior hot meals program implementation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fresno as follows:
1. Approve a one-year agreement commencing on July 1, 2023 and ending June 30, 20024 between the City of Fresno (City) and FMAAA in the amount of $124,000 for the Senior Hot Meals Program at six community centers.
2. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the agreement , including any subsequent amendments and all necessary supporting documents with FMAAA.
