Can I ask what made all of you think this cruelty was a good idea? Do any of you realize how bad Fresno County is with strays? With no fault of

2 their own, they are dumped by their POS owners daily. Why are these poor souls paying the consequences of their POS owner's actions? What are all of you doing about that? I am looking into seeing if this is even legal.

Is it legal for all of you to close the shelter and deny these poor dogs their right to shelter? Isn't that why the shelter is for in the first place? I really don't think you all think before making a decision. I believe that some of you go with the flow and not work hard to look into the best resolution in the best interest of the issue you are discussing.

This "resolution" is a great example. You all probably live in a neighborhood where you don't deal with what the minorities deal with or the heartbreaking things we see daily done to these poor animals. These dogs are dumped with no disregard for life and left to fend for themselves with no food, water, or shelter. Some die a horrible death by starving or being hit by a car and left to die for god knows how long before passing away. I don't see how any of you can sleep at night knowing that YOU ALL are responsible for this. When you get up in the morning in your heated home, with your warm suits, jackets, and car heater, please think about all these poor dogs/cats YOU ALL left out in this cold! I invite you to sit outside when it is the coldest with no jacket or shelter and see how you feel. Go without drinking your Starbucks, Dutch Brothers, or whatever you like in the morning. Go out without eating when hungry; see how long you last. You have the power to feed yourself and take care of your needs, but these poor souls don't. I invite you to drive to the most common dumping areas in Fresno and see all these poor, defenseless animals fighting to stay alive any way they can. Guess who is responsible for that? POS owners are not accountable for doing that. Not only did their POS owners fail them, but YOU ALL, sitting behind your desk, did too. You are supposed to be the people who have to do what's suitable for this community, including strays, but you are not. You took the easiest and fastest way out. You are not thinking about all these poor, defenseless animals out there in the street. You say it is not in the budget to pick up so many strays? You don't have to; we animal lovers gladly do it FOR FREE, but that's not enough. How about YOU ALL open up your HEARTS (if you have one) and your home to some of these dogs? Do you know that the majority dumped are sweet dogs that just had shitty owners? YOU ALL have the power to get involved and do something besides closing the shelter, but you choose not to.

Put some crates in your backyard and save a few dogs from the streets. Donate Money to people who save these poor, defenseless dogs. Donate Food. Litter. Sponsor a Spay and Neuter. I know Christmas is around the corner, and I hope that when you are with your family, by your chimney, with your heater on, with lots of choices of food and drinks on your table, with lots of love around from your family, you think about all these poor animals YOU LEFT OUTSIDE! I know that in California, dogs are considered property, so why don't you guys start by changing that? So that these dogs have more protection by law. It would also be great if we could hold backyard breeders, irresponsible owners who don't neuter and spay their pets, people illegally selling puppies, and the abandonment of pets accountable. My goal is to offer FREE spay and neutering to everyone, making it mandatory to be able to own a pet. What about putting this on the next ballot? Here are just a few pictures of dogs left to die in the street and that you are part of that cruelty.

Shame on you, SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!!

Muchas Gracias and God Bless
