Exceptional Parents Unlimited
WHEREAS, Exceptional Parents Unlimited is hosting their 31 st Annual “Fiesta de los N iños” this year on May 4, 2024 . Translating to “children’s party” in Spanish, it is the organization’s signature fundraising event that brings together community and business leaders in support of children with unique needs and their families; and
WHEREAS, Funds raised at “Fiesta de los N iños” play a crucial role in bridging Exceptional Parents Unlimited’s budgetary gaps, safeguarding their ability to maintain essential services for the children and families under their care. Families seeking services with the organization experience a myriad of challenges, spanning from medical challenges and premature births to developmental delays, and navigating those moments of crisis. Despite their diverse backgrounds, a common thread binds these families together – their connection to Exceptional Parents Unlimited, a place where the seeds of hope are nurtured and cultivated; and
WHEREAS, Exceptional Parents Unlimited provides critical services through early intervention supportive services for families and children with unique needs. Their commitment to the community is for children and families to thrive with love, confidence, and a sense of belonging. Their vision is for children to grow up in families where their individual needs are met, their parents having confidence in themselves and in their ability to meet the needs of all family members, and families having a sense of comfort with their personal situations , bringing forth an internal sense of empowerment; and
WHEREAS, Exceptional Parents Unlimited’s mission to guide and strengthen families and children with unique needs shines through each family and their story. It has been shown that through early intervention and supportive services, hope and resilience are cultivated . With the 31 st Annual “Fiesta de los Niños,” they look forward to coming together this year to raise critical funds needed to improve care for children with unique needs and their families.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we, Mayor Jerry P. Dyer, and the Fresno City Council, do hereby proclaim May 4th, 2024 as:
“Fiesta de los Niños Day”
in the City of Fresno
