COMMITTEE NOTES
Chart International Inc. – The proposer demonstrated they have a great deal of experience in providing CNG services and strong references from agencies of a similar size and larger than FAX, such as the City of Los Angeles. The initial cost proposed was well beyond the independent cost estimate, but the amended pricing fell well within the competitive ranges for this type of service and deemed by the committee to be of good value. Lastly, the initial proposed scheduled maintenance plan did lack details, but after discussions, Chart was able to provide additional information that satisfied the committee’s concerns.
SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION
After independent evaluation of the proposals and group deliberation, the committee determined that Chart International Inc. offers the best value in meeting the interest of the City and the objectives of the project. The committee recommends awarding a two- year requirements contract, with five optional one-year extensions, to Chart International Inc.
