Thank you so much for this initiative! We attended a neighborhood last night and had so much fun! It was an event I would probably pay For. It was well organized and felt safe and fun. Thank you to all the organizers and the rangers for attending! I definitely felt safe with the rangers presence and other families. This is a great way to take back the parks for kids and families and feel safe. Also amazing for families to experience things like outdoor movies if they can afford it. Shoutout to the organizers for planning well, having enough food, and cleaning afterwards.

Unfortunately some people don’t clean up after themselves. I really hope this initiative becomes permanent and regular especially in the beautiful summer nights! Thank you Fresno parks!

2 1 36 This section of the chapter should also include the Capital Projects Department as another city department responsible for implementing the Parks Master Plan. Staff 7/19/2024 The Capital Projects Department was recently formed to manage capital projects. This has been included. Y
3 2 N/A Does the new Census data in chapter 2 incorporate actions to be taken by the department in order to meet the highest City needs? James Sponsler 8/28/2024 The highest needs neighborhood definition was incorporated into the Parks Master Plan to reflect ordinance requirements. The Measure P ordinance outlines specific data factors to incorporate into the highest needs neighborhood definition and is updated independently of the Parks Master Plan every 3 years.

I reached out to PARC in 08/03/2024 to grow the sport of wrestling in the city of fresno. There is a great need as the community is being underserved in this area. Our neighbors in Clovis produce #1 wrestler in the state and even the bar him all while Fresno downtown hosts the USA wrestling state event. Unfortunately the city of Bakersfield, a city smaller than fresno has the contact to host the coveted CIF state wrestling championships when the save mart center is a much better venue for this high profile event. Partnering with Fresno unified, PARC, calusa wrestling and the nonprofit Consortium, integrating the oldest sport known to man, wrestling into the youth and young adults of the city of Fresno is a need an exciting possibility.

My comments are regarding the move of sections "Strategies for Closing The Gaps" and "Strategies For Existing Parks" from Chapter 6 to Chapter 7. Because of the way it is now, it fits perfectly in Chapter 7. Why was it not always in Chapter 7? It definitely doesn't fit Needs Assessment. Unless, if you are doing an IFU or EFE where you are weighing the odds of the two to even a spot. So, it does not really fit a needs assessment when you are already dealing with the strategies for closing it.

The incorporation of Highest-Need Neighborhoods and prioritization of these area for funding allocation may impact future development. Some of these areas may fall within an AIA/Safety Zone. We would recommend including some language to directly specify that future projects will still have to go through the review process of the ALUC and comply with safety and noise criteria of the ALUCP.

Comment received. Projects that are located within an Airport Influence Area or Noise Contour would require ALUC review during the project development phase.
